Tracy Lee to manage probation in Mecklenburg County

CHARLOTTE – Tracy Lee, a 21-year probation and parole veteran, has been named judicial district manager for District 26, and will supervise probation and parole operations in Mecklenburg County. He succeeds Cynthia Mitchell, who retired.

In his new position, Lee will be responsible for a staff of 160 employees who supervise 8,000 offenders on probation, parole or post-release supervision.  

Lee began his corrections career as a probation officer in Mecklenburg County in 1990.  He has served as chief probation/parole officer and assistant judicial manager before his current promotion.

The Mecklenburg County native is a 1989 graduate of Pembroke State University.  He is married and has three children.
